Afterglow
Afterglow reimagines the music player as a place, not a product. Most music apps are engineered to hold attention with autoplay, endless queues, and one more song. Afterglow is designed to do the opposite: to let a listener come down rather than stay up, treating music as quiet company rather than performance or stimulation. The concept takes its cue from the night sky, which is wide, unhurried, and steady. It draws on the comfort of that scale, the feeling of being small without being diminished, and makes that sensation the emotional ground the entire interface rests on. The visual language converges from two directions: outward toward celestial imagery and space, inward toward the calm of deep blue. Together they form a single anchor holding both vastness and warmth. The interface speaks almost entirely in circles. Album art becomes planets, controls become orbits, and progress drifts across the screen like a shooting star. Skeuomorphic touch returns the quiet satisfaction of pressing a real button, tangible without demanding to be noticed. The system scales from mobile to larger screens without losing its stillness, so more room simply becomes more space to breathe. Afterglow measures success by a different standard. Success here isn't how long it holds you. It is how easily it lets you rest, and how easily it lets you go.
