Ephemeral Aristocracy

Ephemeral Aristocracy reinterprets classical European fashion through experimental material exploration and a future-oriented design lens. Inspired by historical aristocratic silhouettes, the project integrates gelatin as both a structural and decorative element within the garments. The use of gelatin introduces fragility, translucency, and impermanence, creating a striking contrast with the traditionally enduring image of aristocratic dress while suggesting a speculative future of fashion materials. Through this material dialogue, the project reflects on the shifting boundaries between past and future, permanence and decay, beauty and dissolution.
