"Arax", a newly released digital game, brings to life ancient Armenian tales through enchanting illustrations and interactive storytelling. Players embark on a fantastical journey through the country's rich cultural heritage, encountering mythical creatures and legendary figures along the way.
This immersive illustrated game reimagines Armenian folklore for the digital age. Players can join Prince Areg on his quest to find a mythical bird in a powerful tale of self-discovery and resilience. The game's narrative is deeply rooted in the traditional Armenian folktale Hazaran Blbul, which begins with a tragedy.
A generous king opens his palace to the people, only for a child to be trampled in a greedy stampede. The grandmother of the child seeks revenge against those responsible, setting off a chain of events that drives Prince Areg on a perilous journey. With each step, players must confront their own demons and make difficult choices that impact the fate of the kingdom.
As the game progresses, players will encounter a range of characters from Armenian mythology, including supernatural creatures and wise elders. The artwork is stunning, bringing these ancient tales to life in vivid detail. By embracing traditional storytelling methods, the developers have created an engaging experience that feels both nostalgic and fresh for modern audiences.
